Ugandan park skateboarders who qualified at the national level to represent Uganda at the Olympics finally joined the world skateboarding tour

In spite of Rashid’s injury during day one of practice, the Ugandan park athletes managed to compete and score points, placing them on a world park skateboarding ranking alongside the rest of the world’s best skaters such as Keegan Palmer, Pedro Barros, Gavin Bottger etc.

The pro tour event is a pivotal stop as skaters look to punch their ticket to Paris 2024 via ranking points that will qualify them for the coming Olympics summer games next year in Paris.

The team was handled by Gose Gerald the national coach and the trip was funded by the Uganda Skating Federation, the Uganda Olympic Committee, and the Uganda National Council for Education and Sports.

Aljada Skatepark in United Arab Emirates will be the next stop next year, in early January.
